Yes, reporting is integrated, but not well. though that's still not their strong suit. Single pane of class for reporting and stuff. You change stuff in one place and push it out to all the ASAs automatically. I mean, it does what it's supposed to, but I'm not a big fan. Running a couple fpr2120-td's here with the FMC. Yea looking at the demo they showed me did not really impress me at all as far as looks and i would be far more comfortable doing things through the asdm for now thanks for the great info Stick with ASDM unless you really want to relearn a bunch of stuff, for not much benefit. Short answer - it's nothing worth getting excited about. It's way different from what it was a year or two ago. If you aren't up to speed on Cisco's ever-changing offerings, don't assume you know what someone means when you see the word "Firepower" in a post.
#CISCO ASA ASDM FOR 845 SOFTWARE#
Reporting is slower than ASDM and clunky looking, because apparently Cisco hasn't decided to absorb the Meraki interface guys into their software stack yet. You change stuff in one place and push it out to all the ASAs automatically. It's a cool concept, and very useful for multiple-site setups (like a bunch of branch offices that have "mostly" the same configs). We just put in a new 5506-X with IDS, connected to the Firepower Mgmt Console VM for management.
